Visit Our Photo Gallery Are you interested in advancing your career opportunities by becoming a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or acquiring your Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC), but don’t know exactly where to begin? You might consider participating in a Certification Study Group hosted by the Rainier Chapter, APA. Typically held twice a year, Certification Study Groups are open to all interested participants. Designed to assist those employed in the payroll and HR fields in preparing for APA Certification(s), study groups are facilitated by Rainier Chapter members who have obtained their CPP qualifications and volunteer their time and experience to help other members do the same. Certification Study Groups also provide a great opportunity for those who have their CPP or FPC to earn RCHs by attending and/or teaching. Fall 2011 Certification Study Group Session This fall, the certification review sessions will be held Saturdays, September 17th and 24th. This is a great opportunity for those who are planning to take the CPP or FPC exam, as well as those who already have their certification, but would like to update their knowledge and challenge their proficiency. The Fall sessions will be hosted at Demand Media in Kirkland. The fee for each unique session is $35. Fee includes continental breakfast, lunch, afternoon refreshments, and additional study materials. RCH units are available for recertification credit (6-7 RCHs per each Saturday attended). Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) The CPP Certification Exam is for Payroll Professionals who have met the appropriate prerequisites or criteria, details of which can be obtained on the National APA’s website. Testing Dates: September 10 – October 08, 2011 Registration opens 7/10/11 Testing Fees: Fall 2011 & Spring 2012 is $360.00     Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) The FPC Certification Exam is open to entry-level professionals, and in many cases is used as a stepping stone in achieving the Certified Payroll Professional certification.
