Due to the increasing concerns regarding the COVID 19 Corona Virus, our board members have decided to cancel our meeting originally scheduled for March 7 (tomorrow).  We are currently trying to reschedule and will let you know more details as we have them.

Final Rule to Update the Regulations Governing the Regular Rate under the FLSA

Preferred Workers Program & Stay At Work Program by LNI Joyce Allen

The Preferred Worker Program is a financial incentive program for Washington employers who employ workers with permanent work restrictions in a productive, medically-approved job which is expected to continue into the future.

•Financial protection against subsequent claims during the preferred worker certification period
•Premium relief
•Wage reimbursement
•Bonus incentive for 12 months of continuous employment
•Payment for some of the costs of tools, clothing and equipment the worker may need to do the job.

The Stay at Work program is a new financial incentive for State Fund employers to assist with returning injured workers to productive, medically approved light duty.

 **From the event venue:  As far as the current situation with the virus, we are watching closely what the CDC and health officials are saying – and they are mostly stressing wash your hands often and thoroughly. We already have our normal standard procedures of disinfecting, washing, etc. so we are just making sure we take extra time to do so, as well as doing it more frequently. Also, both Front Desks have hand sanitizer readily available for guests to use. ***
